What if vampires where real? What if they lived right up the street from you, or they made your morning coffee? They could easily be running human trafficking rings. What if the vampires couldn’t be told apart from anyone else until they had to eat? What if the government was even trying to make tolerance a matter of law.
That is the premise of this book. The stories show the vampire not as a sex crazed race or a race of nobles. Here the vampire is treated just like us. Some of them are good and some of them are not. They need blood to survive but how is that any different from anyone who eats meat?
I love this book. This book jumps from story to story telling each of them in snippets. It is a unique way of telling a story. For V Wars and IDW this form of storytelling is not easy to do. This book makes look simple. It happens to be why I love reading IDW publications. They make complex storytelling easy approachable and addictive. The fact that I read this book in 2 days should give you some clue just how good this book was.
